The act of storing a weapon consists of depositing it, at home or in another authorized location, in a safe or non-portable security cabinet, strongroom or fortified house, as well as applying a padlock, activating mechanisms or removing parts that prevent the weapon from firing.

Holders of C, D or Home Detention licenses must have a safe or non-portable cabinet when they have more than 2 weapons of the same class (except class B1, only 2 are allowed).

If the total number of weapons exceeds 25, the use of a strongroom or fortified house is mandatory.
